Eleven!

It was a great Birthday for the Nut.  Denise and Scott brought tacos and we enjoyed the perfect weather on the deck.  The big gift was a new set of amazing drums.

 

Picking Up Happy

Uncle O was climbing and it was time to pick out our puppy so I asked Elsinore if she could help me with a special project.  When I picked her up, I let her know I needed her to help make sure we got the right dog and that we got him home safely.  She was a total champ.  It broke our hearts to take him away from his Mom but it was a joy to have him home.

 

Bday Weekend Trip, Hell's Canyon

The weather wasn't supposed to be nearly as good as it was for our weekend get-away to Hell's Canyon.  It was perfect in every way and a complete bonus that we got our favorite camping spot, saw dear, a bald eagle, AND a goat.  It was the perfect way to start camping season and kick off Nut's birthday celebration.  She is getting to be such a good climber.

 

Book Making

Love that smile!  I took these before the holiday, as Nut made books to give as gifts but didn't post them since they were a surprise.  She is so talented.

 This is actually a good day.  I'm relatively sure there is an avalanche risk, and at some point the fire department will have to be called to rescue a small child or dog but until then, may her creative spirit continue to grow.
