The morning started early - we left the house about 4:30 am without breakfast. Luckily things were progressing slowly so we could all have breakfast together in the hospital cafeteria.

Modest Mouse is Elsinore's second favorite band and they played an outdoor show in Boise. Yeah!
Her "favorites" list from the experience:

- crowd location: as close to the stage and pack of dancing people as possible
- activity: sitting high on Dad's shoulders and Crowd Surfing
- take along items: Ninja CubeBot (from Scott and Marney's trip to OR) and earplugs (Mom!!!)

Corn on the Cob & Bone in Steak
Steve offered to fix dinner tonight and chose bone in angus steaks and corn on the cob. He thought the latter would be fun for Elsinore to try. What a treat! After her second bite of corn she looked at him and exclaimed, "I like it!". Oh - and she also likes eating steak on the bone, but we already knew that.

Exergy Tour 2012
The Exergy Tour women's cycling race took place over the weekend. The final race of the series started in Hyde Park on Memorial Day. A bunch of friend's met at Scott's house on 13th and his neighbor, Willy Mule, hosted a wonderful brunch. We then watched the race start from Camel Back park. The girls rode proudly in backpacks worn by the Dads.
After all of the police motorcycles, women cyclists, chase, and media cars zoomed past us cheering fans, Elsinore announced, "that was fun!"...about twenty times. Over the last couple days Els periodically says things like, "I saw a motorcycle race." and "the motorcycle race was fun!". Apparently the police motorcycles leading the way made a bigger impact on her than the female cyclists doing the real racing.

Date Night
I gave Mom and Dad the night off so they could go out to dinner and Tia acted like they were going to Prom, or something.
