quotable 2 year old

Elsinore is a good little talker and has been adding to her vocabulary rapidly for the last few months.  She is now also stringing more words into longer sentences and coming up with some very funny things.  I'm worried we are going to forget them, so I want to capture some of the things she says on her blog.  Here are just a few...I'm sure we'll be adding more soon.

"Hi Bean.  Would you like to go into my mouth, Bean?" - during lunch with LaLa whilst eating Kidney beans

"That's Elsinore in the window eating a cupcake." - envious of a little girl doing just that in a book titled Mostly Monsterly

"Kiss it better, Daddy!" - during an incredibly messy and stinky diaper change

"That was fun!" - waking up in the morning after sleeping in the big bed with Mom

TuTu Drumming

Elsinore has been having so much fun with all of her new Birthday presents.  There aren't enough hours in the day for her to get her fix.  We came home last night in PJs after having dinner and a bath at LaLa's house.  Before heading to bed, Elsinore wanted to wear her new purple tutu (from Madisen) and play on her new drum set (from Dad).

Happy Birthday, Dear Elsinore!!!

We had a Birthday party at Grandpa's house to celebrate Elsinore turning 2.  Mom, Dad, Grandpa, NaNa, PopPop, Great Grandma Jo, Greata Joe, Hailey, Olive, Matt, Jana, Lindsey, Lynette, Chris, Denise, Scott, and Marney all joined the celebration.  We ate spaghetti with Bolognese sauce (special recipe from Tia Kelli), Caesar Salad, and Carrot Cake with ice cream.  Elsinore received many wonderful presents and Olive helped her open them. It was so much fun.  Thanks everyone!

Birthday morning at the Boise Zoo

Elsinore enjoyed a beautiful morning at the Boise zoo with Mom, Dad, Olive, Uncle Scott, and Jana.  There were thousands of school age children running around which was just as interesting to the girls as all of the animals and play structures.

Hoo! Hooo!

A very special and talented friend of Elsinore's anonymously left these two fabulous owls at Giraffe Laugh yesterday for her to take home.  I'm quite jealous of these masterpieces, but I don't think there is any way Elsinore is going to share them with me.  She loves them.  When I asked her to please show me her owls she began flying them around in the air and said, "Hoo, Hoo".  She also wanted them to do everything with her this morning...from peeing on the potty to reading books.  oh - and Olivia was given one equally fabulous Daddy owl.  Thank you anonymous friend!

dinner party dress up

Grandpa Bruce invited some friends over for dinner last night.  Elsinore had fun and did a little bit of entertaining herself.  Thanks Colleen, Linda, Steve, and Grandpa for a fun evening and excellent food!

Denise hosted Easter Dinner and it turns out the Easter Bunny not only organized one Egg Hunt, but Two!  There was one just for Elsinore & Olivia and another for the Big Kids.  Everyone had a fabulous time and the dinner was delicious!!!

Thank You Easter Bunny!

The Easter Bunny was late getting to our house this morning but just after I ate my first breakfast we heard him in the basement making all kinds of noise.  We quickly ran down to see if we could catch him.  Unfortunately, I got distracted by the eggs he left on the stairs.  By the time we reached bottom, he was gone!

He did leave two great boxes of toys, eggs and candy though.  It was awesome!

( He also messed up the basement but I'm sure Tia will clean that up later.)

This present came straight from the Snoqualmie Easter Bunny.
