Grandpa Babysits

Grandpa came over to play with Els for a couple hours this morning while "Steve Daddy" finished up his Labor Day weekend dirt bike trip with Mark and "Abbie Mama" did some cleaning and paint touch up around the new house.  Grandpa engaged in all kinds of fun games like chase and reading books.  He also had the grand idea to watch a back country "tail-dragger" airplane instructional video while they ate tuna fish sandwiches together.  I think Els was quite intrigued by the topic.  Not just b/c she isn't actually allowed to watch t.v. yet, either.  After lunch the two of them played outside and Grandpa returned her to me with a messy diaper and tree sap all over her shirt and hands.  The diaper didn't surprise me.  But, tree sap?  I fear he was trying to teach her how to climb trees.
